September 14, 2006 - We have worked with Stormie, and she is gaining manners. She pickes up her feet, ready for the farier, and ties up with little drama. Gracie is ready to be weined, Brandi is ready! Below are a few movie clips of the girls.

SEE MORE PHOTOS HERE!

September 5, 2006 - Stormie has had 3 halter lessons, and oh boy is she a firecracker! Gracie was a walk in the park compared to this little angel. Today she took 5 steps without drama, so we called that a perfect day! She has already grown, and putting on weight. She is very sweet, and loves the camera. SEE MORE PHOTOS HERE!

August 31, 2006 - Rockie Rochelle, just seemed like she was going to never have that baby!, then Thursday evening, during the storm, Naomi Storm made her appearance. We think sometime around 3 AM, Rocki finally "gave-it-up". Stormie came out bucking, and whinneying. She is very social, and loves to say hello to any thing that moves. She is very interested in checking things out. Her color is a charcoal grey/brown Gruellia, with a single white star on her forehed. SEE MORE PHOTOS HERE! (will open a new window). Stormie weighed about 70 pounds, and will clearly be a tall girl with attitude. Rockie looks very releived, as she was so big, everyone marveled at how she could even stand up. Towards the end, Rocki was very uncomfortable, lieing down a lot for releif. Now that Stormie is born, Rocki has regained her girlish figure, and has demonstrated to be a fantastic mother.

July 22 2006 - Brandi had her first full training lesson. She did fantastic! It appears she is gaited, and not at all that bad either. She is very light on the mouth and knows how to pay attention. She moves off the leg, and her head-set is beautiful to watch. We have been working with Gracie, she now has had several baths, her toes trimmed, knows how to tie. Allthough she was non too happy at the beginning of Brandi's lesson, she settled down, and watched mom strutt her stuff! Look out world, Gracie is going to be a large, beautiful gaited (perhaps) paint. Now THAT will be stunning! click HERE to view a video of Brandi's lesson.

Gracie is doing fantastic, and has grown a whole body height. She is going to be one tall gal!! She is also a very well mannered doll. She respects the lead line, ties up, stands for a brushing, and is not a kicker. in fact she loves her rump scratched and her neck scrubbed at the same time, sometimes she just about knocks us over wanting to be scrubbed. She loves to be brushed. Gracie gives kisses to greet you, and will pick her feet up.

Rocki is STILL pregnant, she is wider than she is tall! She is not in any discomfort, and next week we will do an ultrasound.

June 03 2006 - Grace has had a lot of imprinting and desensitizing, she has really started to learn manners. We placed a saddle on Brandi today, and the verdict is: she is broke, she backed up, turned and stopped, and is real light in the mouth. We will be investigating the depth of her training over the next few weeks. The out look is very good, and she could be that find in a lifetime. Gracie is stunning and we have high expectations for her. The next few weeks we will continue to work with her and her socialization. More photos and video to come soon!

May 22, 2006 - 7:30 AM, Amazing Grace made her debut with simple elegance and amazing grace. She is perfect in every way.

Amazing Grace "Gracie" was born this morning at 7:30 am. at Shadow Ridge Stables, Wirtz, Smith Mountain Lake. Gracie is very healthy, hungry and takes a lot of naps. She is a pistol and Grandma is beside herself. Gracie's mom, Brandi, was a rescue, the fact Gracie is healthy and perfect is a true amazing grace miracle.

Gracie is a Quarter Horse and she will have some size to her for sure!! She is a beautiful "Gruel-yah" gray and white tobiano paint. SEE MORE PHOTOS HERE! (will open a new window)

Brandi
Chestnut

This is a fantastic youth horse. She is kind, gentle, and Bomb proof! Brandi was a rescue, and we have been working with her for 4 months. She is with foal, and due in May. Brandi is a QH paint, and bred to a magnificent brown and white QH registered paint. The baby will be most likely brown and white. This is a perfect girl for a backyard, trail and occasional show horse. The baby .... well who knows, could be the next open show champion.

Brandi, is sound. She has not been ridden for 9 months, but once her baby is born, we intend to place her under saddle and further her schooling.

Brandi is 10 years old, 15 hands, and well built. she is sturdy & healthy.
